🧠 How it works
Entities start with & and end with ;. MUST-USE: < → < > → > & → & (otherwise they're parsed as HTML tags). Useful: © (©), ™ (™), — (—), (non-breaking space — prevents line wrap). Numbers: < for < © for © (any Unicode char by code point). To SHOW HTML code on a page (like in a tutorial), every < > and & must be escaped.
✏️ Try these changes
-
Change < to just <→ the rest of the line becomes a tag and may disappear -
Change — to –→ em dash (long) becomes en dash (short) -
Add ♥ somewhere→ heart symbol appears -
Add 😀 (smiley emoji by codepoint)→ 😀 appears
